The Strangest Inventions In History: Dream Readers, Clothes Made From Milk

Snail killing robot

Snail killing robot

Snails are wreaking havoc on your garden? Don’t worry because this artificial intelligence-based robot promises to “kill” snails in a way that can’t be more effective.

Using modern sensors, the robot will determine the position of the snail. Then, bacteria inside the robot will digest the slugs, converting them into an organic energy source for the machine.

This invention was launched by the California Institute of Technology in 2001, and is currently being funded by the UK government for testing in 2021.

Clothes made from… milk

Clothes made from… milk

Have you ever looked at a glass of milk, and wondered how many t-shirts you could make out of it?

As it turns out, this is a real invention announced by German fashion designer Anke Domaske.

In 2011, she launched a fabric called QMilch, which is made from the protein casein found in milk.

The processing is very simple: Just dry milk powder is heated, then closed into fibers. On average, one dress uses about 6 liters of milk.

Housework is sometimes very unattractive to young people. To solve this problem, the toaster from the company Vermont Novelty Toaster has brought an interesting innovation.

Specifically, it can print your selfie on the cake with a special structure, completely harmless to health. This invention was patented and released in 2014.

Collective shaver

Collective shaver

Talking about the most bizarre machines in history, it is impossible not to mention the “collective shaver”, invented in the 19th century.

It even appeared and was used on a hit TV series in the US in the 1960s.

However, this machine quickly failed when put into practice, because it could not change the movement to suit each shape of the face.

Machines run by butterflies

The machine is run by butterflies

In 2013, Japanese researchers successfully developed a two-wheeled robot controlled by a male silk butterfly.

The robot moves when the male butterfly is stimulated by the female butterfly’s sex hormones, and initiates a repetitive mating “dance”.

Dream reader

Dream reader

For Japanese researchers, being able to read dreams is no longer a fantasy.

In April 2013, scientists built an analytical apparatus based on scanning a candidate’s brain waves using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

They then asked the participants to describe images they had seen while sleeping.

The answers matched the brain map generated by the MRI, allowing researchers to later be able to predict dreams with up to 70% accuracy.

For people with mustaches, they must understand the uncomfortable and uncomfortable feeling when eating and drinking.

In 1876, Virgil A Gates – an American researcher even invented this extremely strange mustache protection shield.

The invention is designed to keep the facial hair from being exposed while eating and drinking, while remaining comfortable.

Floor mop from… baby

Mop from baby

Children’s characteristics are very fond of rolling and crawling on the floor. Meanwhile, the floor is often a very dirty place, and always needs to be cleaned.

So why not combine these 2 things together? A real invention published in 2012 in Japan inspired this humorous combination, and was received with great enthusiasm by parents.

Robots self-replenish tomatoes

The robot self-replenishes tomatoes.

Tomatoes contain a lot of nutrients that are beneficial to the body when exercising such as carotene, lycopene, vitamins and potassium.

Researchers love tomatoes so much that they invented a bizarre robot named “tomatan” just to serve the purpose of adding this fruit to the owner.

To use the robot, you need to wear it to the back of your neck. The robot, invented by Japanese juice supplier Kagome, will then pull out a tomato, then put it directly into your mouth, leaving you hands-free for jogging or exercising.
