A shocking and eerie discovery took place in a London apartment, three years after the woman who lived there was believed to have passed away.

When authorities finally entered the apartment, they were faced with a scene resembling something out of a horror movie. The woman’s skeletal remains were found amidst the cluttered apartment, and in a haunting twist, the television was still on, playing as though time had frozen.
The exact cause of her dismissal was unclear, leaving investigators with many unresolved questions. They were left to piece together the events leading up to her passing, trying to understand how she could have remained unnoticed for such a long time without anyone realizing she was missing.
Filmmaker Carol Morley created a documentary about the case titled Dreams of a Life, which was shown at the 2011 BFI London Film Festival and nominated for the Grierson award for best documentary.
