Priyanka Chopra: The wonderful rose of India and a happy life with a young husband

Born in 1982, becoming Miss India and Miss World at the age of 18, Priyanka Chopra decided to enter the film industry instead of dreaming of studying aerospace engineering, becoming an actress, singer and film producer… But her path to success was not smooth. Chopra has overcome many hardships from being a victim of school violence, to scandals involving ex-boyfriends.

Chopra said: “When I was 12 years old, I moved to America to live with my aunt. Here, Chopra attended high school in Queens (New York), then transferred to Newton (Massachusetts). I and my aunt’s children attend a school near my house. At first it was great, no need to wear a uniform, each student has their own locker. What was taught in school was quite simple compared to my ability to absorb.



But at school, there was a girl at the top who bullied me, turning my life into hell. Bullying doesn’t just stop at mental terror but sometimes goes as far as physical aggression because of my dark skin tone.”

Chopra shared that she is easy to adapt because she is used to life on the move, but she felt scared when she was bullied by her friends, it exceeded her initial positive impressions and so she decided to return. India after 3 years studying in the US.

For many people coming to the US will change their lives, but for Chopra, returning home is a fateful fate. Her mother helped her submit photos to the Miss India pageant, helping Chopra become Miss India and then the youngest Miss World in the pageant’s history. This is an opportunity to help her step into the artistic path.



In 2003, Chopra acted in her first Bollywood film “The Hero”, where she played the main character in the film. Chopra’s breakthrough role was in “Aitraaz” released in 2004. In 2006, Chopra established himself as the leading actor of Indian cinema with the roles of Krrish and Don.

When playing a model in the drama “Fashion” released in 2008, Chopra received critical acclaim. This role earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress and the Filmfare Award.

She was praised by the media and professionals when she transformed into a series of characters in the movie “Kaminey” (2009), “Barfi!” (2012), “Khoon Maaf” (2011), “Dil Dhadakne Do” (2015)… all received nominations and awards. In 2015, Chopra played Alex Parrish in the ABC series “Quantico” (Spy Academy), becoming the first South Asian to play a main character in the American television series. In 2017, she took on a villain role written for men, but then the director changed his mind and thought that a female role would be more attractive in the movie “Baywatch”, and the role This movie was very popular with audiences, especially American audiences, marking the most successful crossing of Bollywood to Hollywood by an actor. To date, Chopra has acted in more than 50 Bollywood films.

Chopra shared: “Actors are often associated with adjectives like sexy, seductive, that is considered their strength, but that is not the only thing we have. Because there are many other things, women often have endurance, unpredictable strength. The ability to cope is always within each of us.”

Perhaps the reason Chopra became famous and loved is not only because of her talent, beauty and hot body, but also because of her relentless volunteering efforts. Chopra is best known for her role as a UNICEF Ambassador to protect children’s rights. Along with that, she acted in films and fashions for leprosy and cancer campaigns, was an environmental spokesperson, and provided “clean” electricity to seven Indian villages. Chopra also pledged to donate organs after his death.



Chopra founded a charitable foundation in her name, Priyanka Foundation, which provides educational and medical support to disadvantaged children in India and donates 10% of its income to the foundation. Chopra, who pays for the education and medical care of 70 Indian children, is an important voice against the killing of female fetuses rooted in the country’s culture of preference for men and women. Thereby, she contributed to change the country’s stereotypes about women.

“I can’t end poverty, but at least I can help those around me, making sure that no child’s dreams get buried,” Chopra said.

Ignoring the scandals in love affairs in the past, Chopra is currently happy in the role of Mrs. Jonas when she is married to a boy named Nick who is 10 years younger than her.
