Astronomers have discovered a mysterious object, which they believe is a giant hot bubble of gas around the Milky Way’s black hole every seventy minutes.
Sometimes you see an image that’s pretty hard to believe it is not a poor attempt at Photoshop. This is one of those images. On Twitter, NASA’s ICE team responsible for polar research posted a bizarre picture showing an iceberg that was almost a perfect rectangle. The image was taken by NASA’s Operation IceBridge, a fleet of research aircraft that image Earth’s polar ice.
It’s possible that alien technology is a sign of life beyond Earth.
A huge galaxy seems to appear out of nowhere and surround our own. Now, scientists have found a completely new moon on the edge of our own Solar System.
The polar ice caps have fully melted and the water level has risen to more than 5 miles, swallowing practically all of the land, in the post-apocalyptic action movie “Waterworld” from 1995.
The idea that an infinite number of parallel worlds could exist alongside our own is hard to wrap the mind around, but a version of this so-called Many Worlds theory could provide an answer to the controversial idea of quantum mechanics and its many different interpretations.
Astronomers refer to it as the multiverse. There are multiple universes in this one. Physicists define more than one as an infinite number. These innumerable universes coexist in higher levels that our senses are incapable of directly experiencing.
A black hole had a stellar spaghetti feast, which astronomers witnessed from 215 million light-years away in a spiral galaxy in the Eridanus constellation.
A brown dwarf that has been nicknamed “The Accident” has been discovered by a citizen scientist thanks to an online program he made himself.
Astronomers watching the sky recently got a big surprise. They discovered a big galaxy in an undiscovered region of our galaxy. It appeared seemingly out of nowhere.
