Build A House, Discover “Earth Temple” And 4 Overlapping Civilizations

According to Acient Origins, the project surveyed by Albion Archeology has helped uncover many layers of archeology from the Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age and Saxon times. These 4 eras will be associated with at least 4 civilizations that once reigned here.

At first, they thought it was just an agricultural relic that had been used through the ages, but then more and more amazing ceremonial monuments began to emerge.

Albion Archaeology’s Iain Leslie told the BBC it could be a “sacred” agricultural center where farming practices were associated with unique rituals. In the Iron Age, it also became a large settlement with traces of several round houses and hoarding pits for storing seeds and food. In the class of Saxon ruins, they also found elaborate buildings and a toaster.

The oldest layer of ruins shows that the place was occupied about 6,000 years ago with a unique Neolithic ceremonial circle. This ritual site also preserves a sudden shift in the minds of the ancients: shifting the focus of worship from supernatural, distant figures to the very place that is helping them to survive and cultivate – the Earth. earth, or a certain land god in their imagination.

So the ceremonial circle is some kind of Earth temple, or some kind of Mother Earth temple. This changed way of thinking may have created a “neolithic revolution” in which people relied more on natural factors, creating a stronger agriculture and a more stable life.

It is not clear how long the housing project will be delayed. Usually, when discovering monuments in England, archaeologists will be in charge of surveying, then bringing what is needed to the laboratory and preserving the remaining things right in the middle of the ground by carefully leveling. , so that modern buildings can spring up.
